About Susan Washco
Susan Washco has been a real estate agent since 1992. As a resident of Saratoga Springs since 1986, and a person who has traveled extensively, she has grown to love her home and community as most people do who relocate to this unique historic city.
Susan came into the real estate business with a background in Fine Arts - she holds a BFA and MS in Art Education from Alfred University. During the first stage of her life she owned her own pottery business for 20 years. Her creativity and sense of design play an important role in helping her clients stage their homes for sale and find properties that will hold value. She and her husband have also been investing in real estate in the Saratoga Springs vicinity since they moved to this area - that personal experience makes her acutely aware of area real estate values.
Currently Susan and her husband Nick, a retired mechanical engineer who considered becoming an architect, are designing and building spec homes. This is a fascinating new aspect of Susan's business and has taught her so much about all of the phases of new construction!
Susan takes much pride in her ability to thoroughly inform her clients of complete market knowledge before they enter into a transaction. The statistics she provides include all area market surveys of the specific location they will be buying or selling in. Her clients also look at the average number of days properties have been on the market to get a sense of how long it will take to sell their home, or how long they have before they need to summit a purchase offer. Markets trends are very important and all of Susan's clients are fully informed so they can make a fair market offer on a property or correctly price their listing for sale.
Susan takes much pride in being a very professional agent to make sure her buyer and seller clients transactions go smoothly!
